Quote Tool

First, choose the language your document is currently in (source language).

Second, choose the language you want your document to be translated into (target language).

TIP: If you need your document to be translated in more than one language you can click on the “add multiple languages” button and you’ll be able to select all the languages you need your document translated into.

Third, choose the specialist subject.

TIP: depending on your document it may be General, Medical, Legal, between others.

Fourth, choose the date you need your document translated.

TIP: You can leave it as Auto (‘’Best Price’’ and the tool will automatically assign one for you).

Fifth, either upload your document (s) and our quote tool will count the words or you can insert the total number of words manually and upload your files later.

Sixth, choose your currency, either USD, EUR, or GBP.

Seventh, click on the button GET QUOTE and three packages will appear. Once you’ve made your choice, pick one package and you’ll be able to place your order by inserting your payment details in the next screen.

If you need help understanding how the quote tool works or would like a team member to complete it for you feel free to call us or schedule a video call here. Give us a call at +44 207 117 2601, message us on whatsapp at +44 740 552 8736 or email us at support@lotuly.com

After completing steps 1 to 7 using the quote tool by inserting your details, deciding which one of the three packages suits you best and then clicking on the button ORDER NOW you’ll be taken to the first screen (don’t worry there’s only three 🙂 ). There you can add the files needed for translation in case you did not add them on the quote tool.

You’ll also need to give your project a title and mention any special instructions that you may have for us or that you want us to pass on to our translator when translating your file (s) (in this step you can add a glossary or a guide, just make sure to add the glossary or guide where it says ADD FILES on the special instruction box, otherwise the quote tool will think it’s needed for translation).

The second screen is for adding all your personal and billing information.

The third screen is a summary of your order.

TIP: If you’re happy you can click CONTINUE or if you need to make any changes you can do so by clicking the MAKE CHANGES button.

After clicking CONTINUE our customised Stripe screen will come up where you can add your card details and make the payment.

Voila! Once the payment has been confirmed you will receive a confirmation email and your project will start straight away.

It depends on how urgent your deadline is. If you need your document (s) as soon as possible, the Lotuly Express package will be the best option. If you are not in a rush, the Lotuly Economy will save you money. If you are in between both of them, the Lotuly Standard package is the best for you. If you need it faster than what the Lotuly Express package can offer please contact us and we’ll try to help you.

You can upload the documents in our quotation tool as long as it’s in one of the formats we support and the quote tool will count it automatically or you can count it yourself in your document by checking the settings of your document. If it’s a Word file, you’ll see it on your lower left corner once you open the file. If you need any help doing so, you can contact us here and we’ll be happy to help.

Currently we support 12 formats: TXT, DOC, DOX, RTF, PDF, DOT, DOTX, ODT XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX. If you need a quote in any other format not listed above, we can still help, but please contact us here.

After completing the quotation tool and clicking the GET QUOTE button you’ll be able to click on ‘Send it to me by email’. This will prompt you to type in your email so that you can have your own personal copy and the price will be saved in the system for 5 days.

Yes, we can. If it requires special formatting we will let you know before starting the project. You can directly upload the file here or email us at support@lotuly.com.

You can click here and complete the quote tool with your details (no payment details are needed to get a free quote).

No need to panic, we can still help you. For quotes over 100,000 words you can contact us here.

Payment & Safety

We partnered up with Stripe; they have been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and are certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, they use the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe. We also have an SSL certificate that is used to secure credit card transactions, data transfer and logins and it also displays the padlock and activates the https.

Translation Process

We can start as soon as we receive your order confirmation.

You can upload them on the quote tool. We recommend you to at least insert the number of words in the quote tool so that you know the cost beforehand and then make the payment in the next steps.

You can upload them in STEP ONE under the box special instructions (just after you choose a package and click on ORDER NOW).

Depending on the package you’ve chosen in our quote tool it will automatically assign you a date and time your translation is going to be delivered.

It depends on your needs but we don’t recommend splitting the project between different translators.

We based our quote tool on what a single translator can handle in terms of capacity (or word count) per day in order to avoid losing consistency. If your project is not of a technical nature but it is urgent and our human translator can’t handle the word count fast enough, then we will let you know and try to come up with a better solution.

If we are going to split the project, we’ll make sure that you won’t lose quality and we won’t do it unless you approve it first.

Pricing

We base our prices on delivery dates and we never compromise on quality (no matter the package you choose: Economy, Standard or Express you will receive a high level of quality translation) that is why we do not base our prices on machine translation + editing like most translation agencies do.

We believe in human translation.

The more flexible your delivery date is the more affordable it’s going to be.

Two of the main factors that differentiate the packages are:

  1. A) The deadline (how urgent your project is).
  2. B) Whether you need a specialised translator or not.

It depends on different factors, such as:

  • The number of languages you need your document, website, app or software translated into.
  • The subject of the files.
  • The deadline you have.
  • The total number of words your file has.

TIP: Our prices start at £25.

About Lotuly

Yes, for every 500 words we translate Lotuly is committed to planting one tree. We’ve partnered up with Ecologi to help reduce our carbon emissions by working remotely. Our whole business model is 100% digital, so we’re also available everywhere 😉

Lotuly’s family of translators are based all around the world.

For starters, we are fully insured through Policy Bee for your peace of mind so you are 100% protected. Also, our translators are native in the target language, they are fully qualified and have years of experience in their specialised field.

We’re also on the data protection register of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK – see entry ZB033772.

Yes, our translators have at least 5 years of experience, a minimum of 1 area of expertise and are native in the target language and fluent in the source language. They understand the culture, region and subtle nuances of the language pair they translate.

Lotuly is a people-first service. Our translators are real people, translating human-generated copy for a human audience. We also invest in our planet by planting 1 tree for every 500 words we translate.

Lotuly helps B2B companies translate and localise their content (websites, apps, software, documents, etc.) effectively in +90 languages (globally).

Our mission is to help create more caring relationships by enabling businesses and their customers to start meaningful conversations.

Translation is the process of translating text from one language to another, so it has the same meaning.

Localisation is a more in-depth form of translation that focuses on translating product or content text for a particular locale or market. For further information, please check our in depth article here.

A translator is not only bilingual but bicultural. Has a very good knowledge of the language, written and spoken, from which they are translating (the source language) and a native command of the language into which they are translating (the target language).

A specialised translator is a language expert who covers the specialist subject fields falling under non-literary translation, the best known of which include science and technology, economics, marketing, law, medicine…as well as lesser researched areas such as maritime navigation, archaeology, etc,.

We specialise in more than just translation. We have experience in localisation, transcription and transcreation.

You can find the difference between these 3 services here.

Yes, we provide SEO keyword research as an extra service or as part of localisation.

We don’t compete with any agency on price, and most definitely we don’t want to compete with Google Translate’s ”speed” but we would like to point out that Google Translate won’t beat Lotuly on one important aspect and that is QUALITY.

Human translation prevails over machine translation.

We’ve written 2 interesting blogs which we highly recommend you to check out if you are really thinking about hiring us for your translation needs.

The first one it’s about translation failures and the expensive consequences of using Google Translate.

The second one it’s about machine translators vs. humans.

Machines can’t read the tone which refers to the way the words are delivered. Maybe they’re supposed to be amusing, or have a poetic style. Perhaps they’re designed to shock, or motivate the audience to take action.

A machine performing a flat translation won’t pick up these style cues and the meaning of the message will be lost.

Translations

If it is necessary to certify the translation of a document not written in English our team will confirm in writing the following elements on the translation:

  • the translation is a ‘true and accurate translation of the original document’
  • the date of the translation
  • the full name and contact details of the translator or a representative of our translation company

Yes, we can. For an extra cost per page. Prices start at £40 per page.

No, a project manager and a translator are two different people.

Your project manager is the person you will deal with during your whole collaboration with us. If you have any questions about your project or you want more files translated you will be able to communicate all of this to your PM.

The translator is the expert that will take care of the translation of your project (from one language to another) but you don’t have direct contact with him/her.

There is not a minimum number of words needed but our prices start at £25 for either 1 word or 50, but for more information please test our instant and free quote tool here.
